Spanish Credit System
The Spanish Credit System is an important feature of the Spanish educational system. The number of credits of each course reflects the workload (hours of class) corresponding to the subject. One credit is equivalent to 10 hours of class. There are three types of courses: compulsory, optional and free-elective subjects. 1 Spanish credit is equivalent to 0,8 ECTS.
Language situation
Lectures are taught in Catalan and Spanish, but the final thesis can be presented in other languages. Usually a Spanish speaker will not take more than two weeks to fully understand Catalan. Please ask for free Catalan courses at the University. For students with no knowledge of Spanish, some introductory language courses are also offered by our International Office. Language exchanges are also organized between foreign and native students.

Final Project
It is also possible for students to do their Final Project at the School of Engineering. For each degree, a final project is presented during the last semester of the studies. It is intended to be practical to enable students to apply the knowledge they have previously acquired. The student can complete its Final Project within the School itself, at another European university or research institute, or in a company. The student is required to submit the work in written form and also to make an oral presentation in front of a jury of School lecturers and professors
