Polytechnic School of Engineering of Vilanova i la Geltrú
Activity: MESDI, a non-profit association, is a student initiative aimed at promoting design within the university environment. Therefore, all results of MESDI’s activity reflect the aspirations, motivations and initiative of its members, and the association creates a space for sharing interests and knowledge.
Activity: An interdisciplinary group of EPSEVG students have joined their interests and wills to carry out and promote activities related to unmanned aerial vehicles: Drones, their knowledge, their use and their new applications. Motivate students in the use of technologies used in drones. Link unmanned aerial vehicle technologies in the development of new engineering applications at a practical level. Expand teamwork knowledge. Promote college drone racing competition.
Activity: Raising awareness of the social, cultural and sports links between the UPC and FC Barcelona. Facilitating links with FC Barcelona spaces and activities.
Activity: Promoting and fostering activities, courses and tournaments to enrich campus life. Organising and carrying out courses and workshops on programming, app development and video game creation. Organising role-playing and board game workshops and tournaments. Providing information on cultural and leisure activities and those that promote cooperative action and teamwork; organising and participating in activities of this kind. Raising awareness of the EPSEVG and representing the School; creating video game teams to compete with other university teams.
Activity: They participate in the Vilanova i la Geltrú Carnival Fest, a Heritage Festival of National Interest. On Carnival Sunday the strets are plenty of people jumping and dancing folowing their flag , brass band or music group. Since 1995, the UPC Vilanova has participated in this event with their own flag with nearly 100 people, including students, alumni, teaching and research staff and administrative staff.
