Agreement with CLS to access marine monitoring satellites

UPC of Vilanova students will have access to satellites that monitor different planet activities thanks to an agreement with CLS. EPSEVG students will get telemetry solutions for a broad spectrum of applications including ocean modeling, metocean platform monitoring, plastic tracking and more.
ARGOS & amp, IRIDIUM, CLS, a subsidiary of the French Space Agency (CNES) is a pioneer in providing solutions to monitor the Earth. Actually, in 2018, CLS created its subsidiary Kinéis with one mission: transform the Argos system and deploy an unparalleled connectivity that is universal and reliable with a low-data rate. A constellation of 25 nanosatellites will be launched in 2023 and will revolutionize the
system.
Unleashing the power of data is in CLS’ DNA which is why we’re proud to accompany young members of the scientific community such as UPC by providing hardware and free access to Argos connectivity and enabling them to better understand our Blue Planet.
